The UGA Alumni Association Multicultural Programs, created in 2005, provides diverse alumni with opportunities to be involved and stay connected with the UGA Alumni Association and university while networking and socializing with fellow UGA alumni and friends. The program focuses on outreach to underrepresented alumni groups, including African American, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, Native American, and multi-racial through specially designed, culturally sensitive events. In addition, the UGA Alumni Association strives to create a comfortable environment for networking and social interaction through the many events it co-sponsors with other organizations. A volunteer steering committee provides feedback on the best ways to serve and engage UGA's diverse alumni population.
