About the Georgia Fund
All gifts, no matter the size, make a difference every day at the University of Georgia. The Georgia Fund is the annual giving program to support academic initiatives at UGA. Georgia Fund gifts enrich the lives and experiences of students and faculty, wherever they are engaged in advancing the University's mission - on campus, around the state or abroad.
The Georgia Fund provides
- Scholarship and fellowship assistance for students and faculty.
- Discretionary resources for academic support and administration.
- Operational funding for special programs and institutional initiatives.
- Flexible capital to weather economic storms, strengthen key academic and research programs and confront unanticipated needs.
The base of annual support from alumni, friends, parents, faculty, staff and students is critical in supporting the University and its schools, colleges and units. Gifts may be designated for any program or may be unrestricted for university-wide initiatives. Through phone, mail, email and special campaigns, the Georgia Fund reaches out to engage and inspire constituents to make an investment in the University of Georgia.
