Recognizing the loyal alumni and friends who generously support UGA with their financial gifts.
Cumulative Giving Societies
These giving societies recognize individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations whose irrevocable cumulative gifts have reached $1 million and above.
Crystal Arch Society • $10 million
The Crystal Arch Society is named for UGA's most recognizable symbol and the main entrance to campus, the Arch, located on the edge of campus along Broad Street. The Arch is modeled after the state seal of Georgia and its three columns stand for wisdom, justice and moderation, the state motto.
The Abraham Baldwin Society • $5 million
The Abraham Baldwin Society is named for the legendary Georgia politician, educator and founder of the University of Georgia. Baldwin wrote the charter for the University of Georgia, and saw it adopted by the state legislature in January of 1785. This charter was the first ever written and adopted for a state-supported public University.
The 1785 Society • $1 million
The 1785 Society is named for the year that UGA was chartered by the Georgia General Assembly, making it the first state-chartered university in the nation. Governor John Milledge bought and then donated 633 acres of land as a site for the university, and classes began in 1801 with 30 students in a temporary classroom.
Today, there are 372 buildings on 614 acres on the main campus in Athens, more the 33,000 students attend UGA and the University has more than 200,000 living alumni.
Annual & Planned Giving Societies
Ongoing and sustained giving ensures that UGA's needs are addressed by private support.
These programs recognize donors who support UGA through annual gifts of $1000 or more,
consecutive years of giving, and personal estate plans.
The Presidents Club • $1000+
The University recognizes major donors to the Foundation with membership in The Presidents Club.
Founders
Founding Members of The Presidents Club are alumni and friends who joined during the first 20 years of its existence. Founding members supported the University of Georgia Foundation with a gift of at least $10,000 over a 10-year period or a commitment of at least $25,000 through a planned gift.

Annual gift: $10,000 or above
Fellows
Annual gift: $5,000 - $9,999
Partners
Annual gift: $2,500 or above
*An enhanced President's Club level, University Partners are individuals whose annual gifts to UGA total $2,500 or greater and support the President's Venture Fund in total or in part.
**University of Georgia faculty and staff (current and retired) may join the Partners program at a reduced level of $1,500 in annual support with at least $500 designated to the President's Venture Fund.

Annual gift: $1,000 - $4,999
The Heritage Society • Planned/Deferred Giving
The Heritage Society honors alumni and friends who have made documented bequests in their wills or other planned gifts in support of the University of Georgia. Planned gifts may be given by charitable gift annuities, wills, pooled income funds, life insurance policies, or charitable remainder trusts.
The Third Pillar • Consecutive Giving
A recognition program for donors making gifts in the last three or more consecutive Georgia Fund campaigns.
The Third Pillar takes its name from the University's official symbol, the Arch.
The three pillars of the UGA Arch model those on the State of Georgia Seal representing
the virtues of Wisdom, Justice and Moderation.
It is the Third Pillar-Moderation-which is exhibited by those donors who consistently renew their belief in the University of Georgia through annual gifts. As Georgia Fund Loyalty Donors, you and others have demonstrated an ongoing commitment for support of academic excellence.
