My name is Yoon Jeong Chang. I am a
freshman student in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences majoring
in psychology. I am from Duluth, Georgia. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank you for your generosity in funding the Colonel
Morgan Goodhart Scholarship. I am deeply honored to be a recipient of
this award.
In my short time here at the University of Georgia, I have
had the opportunity to experience many new things and become involved
with campus organizations. I am involved in the Coverdell Center for
Biomedical and Health Science as a Lab Assistant. I am also a member of
the Undergraduate Neuroscience Organization and American Medical Student
Association. These organizations have provided many resources for the
fields I plan to study. I am currently in Premedical Studies Program. I
enjoy studying in the diverse environment here at the University of
Georgia, at which numerous opportunities are provided. The scholarship I
have received has aided me to stay focused on my studies without having
to worry about the financial problems. I plan to continue studying
psychology and science courses and become a psychiatrist. Ultimately, I
would like to become a person who in turn can give back to our society.
Once again, I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart for your
generous contribution to my education at the University of Georgia. This
award has indeed made a significant difference in my life as it has
facilitated my education opportunities.
