UGAF Funding

The University of Georgia Foundation provided over $32 million in support to the University for fiscal 2009. The funding supported a variety of scholarships, faculty, and other programs that enhance academic opportunities and the quality of education at the University of Georgia.

Included in this support is:
  Funding from endowments for the premier Foundation Fellowship and Ramsey Honors Scholarship programs.
  Funding from endowments to support chairs and professorships at the university, graduate fellowships, study-abroad scholarships and faculty research.
  Funding from unrestricted gifts for special recruiting events for high-achieving high school students and their families both on campus and in the students' home communities.
  Funding from unrestricted gifts for Charter Scholarships, incentive and need based scholarships.
